PLA – the material
Almost all Sproutwerk products are printed from PLA, a bio-based plastic predominantly derived from renewable resources such as corn starch. PLA is lightweight, dimensionally stable, and perfectly suited for decorative and utilitarian objects indoors.
3D printing with character
During 3D printing, each product is created layer by layer. The fine layer lines you can see on the surface are not a flaw but a deliberately visible characteristic of the manufacturing process – part of the handmade look of each individual piece.
How to care for your products
- Wipe dry or slightly damp – this is sufficient in most cases.
- No strong heat: Please do not place in the summer sun, in a hot car, or on a heater – PLA can deform at high temperatures.
- Do not put in the dishwasher.
- Keep away from open flames and embers.
Safety warning: Neodymium magnets
Some products (e.g., refrigerator and climbing hold magnets) contain strong neodymium magnets:
- Magnets and magnet-containing small parts can be swallowed – do not give to young children.
- Swallowed magnets can cause serious internal injuries – seek immediate medical attention in such a case.
- Persons with pacemakers or implanted defibrillators should keep a distance from strong magnets.
Not a toy
Sproutwerk products are decorative and utility items for adults and not toys. Please keep out of reach of small children.
